The most common company form in Hong Kong is the limited liability company (Limited), and the incorporation of a Limited usually takes around 7 working days, including:

  1. preparing the documents to be submitted to the Companies Registry for issuance of the Limited Certificate of Incorporation;
  2. issuance of the Certificate of Incorporation and Business Registration Certificate, one-stop by Companies Registry upon incorporation.

According to Hong Kong Company Law the Limited is allowed to carry out any lawful business activity with no need to disclose and describe the nature of the same in the official documents (i.e. memorandum and articles of association).

The Companies Law does not require a minimum amount of share capital for the Limited (for common practice the share capital of a Limited is equal to HK$ 10,000).
